BALLET
Ballet is a technical form of dance that has been evolving since its emergence in the 15th century. Dancers apply technique and artistry to convey a storyline or emotion to their audience.
As the basis of modern dance technique, this genre promotes structure, body awareness, strength and discipline within its students. This genre will appeal to rule followers and of course those who enjoy a good tutu.
Ballet Syllabus Classes
Ages 6-18
Ballet syllabus students will safely progress their technical abilities and broaden their style, performance and confidence. Classes grow in structure as they follow a series of exercises, combinations and dances which increase in difficulty as students progress. Some senior dancers will have the opportunity to progress onto pointe work.
Students will work to show off their skills to an invited professional for personal feedback during an assessment in term three.
They will then prepare and work towards a dance for the end of year concert.
